"Empowering Tomorrow's Softball Stars"

Welcome to PGSA – your local hub for recreational girls’ softball! Rooted deeply within our community, our organization believes in the magic of fostering talent, nurturing passion, and building lifelong friendships, all while playing the exciting game of softball.

When you join PGSA, you’re not just enrolling in a sports program. You’re investing in a journey filled with laughter, learning, and a deep sense of camaraderie. Come, let’s hit home runs not just on the field, but in life!

Join us today and be a part of our softball family where the softball community emulates our wonderful town’s tight-knit community and support for one another.  We promote fun, good sportsmanship, mental and physical health, teamwork, community, and leadership.  We play at a recreation level to learn the sport of softball and how to be a part of a team.  We also have the option and opportunity to grow and move into a more competitive league, our travel league, Steal Breeze.

All skill levels are welcomed at any level within our organization.  You must be 5 years old by January 1st to play.  PGSA is affiliated with USA softball, and plays under the USA softball rules.

come be a coach or a team manager

"A good coach can change a game. A great coach can change a life"

Our focus is dual-fold: to ensure that each girl masters the
fundamentals of softball and to guarantee that every game played is
synonymous with joy. Through dedicated coaching, interactive training
sessions, and regular feedback, we help our young players understand the nuances of the game, improving their skills one pitch at a time.

If this excites you, come be a part of our organization, our community, and be the hero in your players eyes!  We are always looking for individuals to make our program better, and enrich our young players lives.  We cannot have a season without dedicated coaches to lead the way. Having enough great quality coaches allows for us to keep our teams small so the players get more hands on expierence and more playing time.

"Hey Coach!"

Everyone has a different background, situation, and reason for coaching. Whats yours?

The love of softball, the physcal activity, the importance of youth sports in the community, getting more involved in your players life, to elevate your teams ability, to show the kids that hard work can be fun.

Sign up below to get more information on how you can get out on the field and start making a difference in the life of these players!

Softball Wasn't My Sport, How Can I Help?:

You might not be athletic, you might not know all the ins and outs of the sport, or you might just not have the time to be at every practice. We have a VERY IMPORTANT role for you! We need Managers!

A manager will run team snap, coordinate team socks, parent volunteers, and all of the behind the scenes things. This used to all fall on the coaches shoulders, but over the years, we have realized that sometimes the BEST COACHES arent good with team snap, and the parents who thrive on organization just cannot commit to coaching. Sign up to manage a team!

Signing up below does not commit you to a role, it just shows interest so we can send more information

Our value

"The dirt on your uniform is a badge of honor. It tells the story of a player who gives her all." -Coach Mike

Our Vision

"To be the leading local softball organization where young athletes are empowered to reach their fullest potential both on and off the field, fostered by an inclusive, community-driven environment."

Our Mission

It is PGSA’s mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, positive space where young athletes can grow as softball players as well as individuals. Along with our dedicated coaches and community volunteers, we are committed to helping players become the best version of themselves, creating healthy habits, developing a positive mindset, and making lifelong friends. We strive to instill a love for the game and a deep respect for its traditions while fostering a strong sense of community. Through teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication, and fun, our players grow into well-rounded individuals who not only excel in the game of softball, but also demonstrate exceptional character on and off the field. PGSA aims to produce not only skilled athletes but also responsible, respectful, and confident young people who are well-prepared for a successful future.

T-Ball Program
Designed for players 5 & 6 years old, these little ones are learning to love team sports. Sports are fun and exciting (and the after-game snacks are a plus, too!) We teach the very basics of catching, throwing, swinging a bat, the names of each position, and which direction to run when you hit the ball. T-Ball is a mixture of hitting off of a T, and moving into coach pitch at the player's individual level of readiness. Our goal by the end of the season is for the player to love the game and want to come back next year.
Minis Program
Minis is for players aged 7 & 8. Some of these players will be new to the sport and some will come with a little bit of softball knowledge and experience. This level is all about fundamentals. Our coaches will dig deeper into rules and position play. We will be teaching good habits and body mechanics. You will see these girls learning to pitch, and what a double play is all about. Minis is a mix of coach pitch and kid pitch progression as the season moves along. Our goal by the end of the season is for these girls to start understanding the game, making decisions on the diamond, and getting down the basic fundamentals of throwing catching and batting.
Rookies Program
Rookies is designed for players 9 & 10 years old. Again, we see a lot of first-time players mixed in with some who have been playing for a while. With the guidance of their coach, the more experienced girls have a great opportunity to start working on leadership and mentoring the newer players in game play. This league really starts to elevate their level of understanding the game. New rules start to come into play in this 100% kid pitch league. This is the league where you will really start to see the passion come out of these girls as they truly begin to rely on their team for support on the diamond.
Minors Program
Designed for players 11 & 12 years old. The Minors start to see some bigger challenges. The pitchers mound moves back to 40', the ball gets bigger, and big rule changes like dropped third strike and stealing home are implemented. You will see your players blossom, not only as individuals, but as important team players, too.
Majors Program
The majors program is for our players 13 and above...(description coming soon)
